Image basics to review

Use these checks as a starting point, then review Amazon’s current category requirements:

  • Resolution — 500–10000 px on the longest side; 1000+ px is recommended and enables zoom.
  • Background — pure white RGB 255, 255, 255.
  • Product fill — show the entire product with 85% product coverage, then review category-specific framing guidance.
  • File format — JPEG is recommended. PNG, TIFF, and non-animated GIF are also supported.
  • Product quantity — show one unit of the product being sold, with only its included accessories. Check your category rules for worn or lifestyle photos.
  • No overlays — do not add watermarks, promotional text, seller information, or Amazon badges. Keep real markings on the product.
  • No props — exclude props that are not part of the product. Packaging may appear when it is an important product feature.
