How to write effective Etsy titles
Clear, relevant titles help buyers understand a listing and help Etsy match it to searches. Follow these five practical rules:
- Stay within 140 characters. Etsy accepts up to 140 characters, while search results may display a shorter preview.
- Put the main phrase first. Lead with the item type or the phrase a buyer is most likely to search.
- Include useful attributes. Add the item type, metal, stone, style, and gift occasion when they are visible and relevant.
- Avoid keyword stuffing. Keep the title natural and do not repeat the same keyword unnecessarily.
- Keep the formatting readable. Avoid all caps and emoji; use commas or vertical bars to separate phrases.
